The National Bible Month (BKSN) at SD Plus Gembala Baik started at the beginning of September. Throughout the month, students from grades 1-6 participated in various activities to deepen their understanding of the Bible and its teachings. Each class took part in different lessons, discussions, and reflections to help them grow spiritually and live according to God’s word.
On September 30th, we celebrated the closing of BKSN with a special event. The main highlight of the day was the series of competitions, where students from grades 1-6 demonstrated their talents and knowledge in Bible-related activities. The competitions included: Bible Storytelling, Coloring Competition, Choir, Scripture Reading, Bible Quiz.
Each competition was judged by a panel of teachers, who carefully observed and gave feedback. The students’ enthusiasm and dedication to each activity were clear, as they worked hard to give their best performances.
After all the competitions were completed, everyone gathered again for the closing ceremony. Sr. Tanti Yosepha, CP., M.Pd., gave a short speech, praising the efforts of all the participants and reminding them that the most important part of BKSN is living by God’s teachings every day. The winners of each competition were then announced, and the top performers from each class received their well-deserved prizes. The room was filled with excitement and cheers as the winners proudly accepted their awards.
The event ended with a prayer of gratitude led by Miss Yana, thanking God for the successful event and asking for His blessings upon all the students as they continue their spiritual journey. It was a wonderful way to close BKSN, and all students, teachers, and parents left feeling inspired and grateful for the meaningful experiences they had throughout the month.
This year’s BKSN celebration helped everyone at SD Plus Gembala Baik grow closer to God, and we look forward to celebrating again next year, with even more exciting activities and opportunities to learn from the Bible! (Alika and Giselle)
